EA Sports has laid out exactly what's coming in FC 27, and the numbers are hard to argue with: 21,000-plus licensed players, more than 800 clubs and national teams, 140 authentic stadiums, and 35-plus leagues when the game drops on September 25.
This isn't just a roster update. The breadth of coverage — men's and women's football, domestic leagues, continental competitions, and everything in between — makes FC 27 one of the most comprehensively licensed sports games ever built.
What's actually in the game
The domestic league list covers the obvious heavyweights: Premier League, Bundesliga, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Serie A Enilive, Ligue 1. But the depth is where it gets interesting. All 72 EFL clubs are in — Championship, League One, League Two — alongside all 20 Premier League sides with managers, authentic kits, and matchday presentation. MLS gets all 30 clubs. The NWSL, including newly added Boston Legacy and Denver Summit, brings all 16 teams.
One addition worth flagging: Liga BBVA MX is fully licensed for the first time, all 18 clubs included. That's a market EA has been pushing into, and a fully authenticated Mexican top flight will matter to a significant chunk of the global player base.
The continental competition lineup is equally complete:
- UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, and Super Cup
- UEFA Women's Champions League
- CONMEBOL Libertadores, Sudamericana, and Recopa
- Carabao Cup
On the stadium side, Santiago Bernabéu, Anfield, Allianz Arena, and Parc des Princes are confirmed — but EA has stated explicitly that more venues and rebuilds are still to be announced. The 140 figure isn't the ceiling.
Why this matters beyond the game itself
For anyone who bets on football, FC 27's licensing scope is a decent proxy for which leagues are growing in commercial weight. Roshn Saudi League is in. The K League is in. Liga 1 (Peru) is in. The Ekstraklasa is in. These aren't afterthoughts — they reflect where EA's partnership deals are, and where football's global footprint is actually expanding.
The women's game continues to grow inside EA's ecosystem too, with the Barclays WSL, NWSL, Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga, Arkema Première Ligue, Liga F Moeve, and UEFA Women's Champions League all represented. That's not lip service — it's the full competitive pyramid for women's club football.
