Klopp Demands Rodri as Non-Negotiable if He Takes Real Madrid Job.

The rumor mill is going crazy with talk about Jurgen Klopp potentially heading to Real Madrid. And if the reports are true, the German manager has some serious demands before he'd even consider the move.

According to Spanish media, Klopp wants four new players if he takes over at the Bernabeu. The big one? Manchester City's Rodri, which is apparently a 'non-negotiable' signing. That's quite the statement considering Rodri came up through the ranks at Real's bitter rivals Atletico Madrid.

The Ballon d'Or winner is said to be hesitant about extending his Manchester City contract beyond 2027. If Klopp does land at Real Madrid, expect the odds on Rodri moving to the Spanish capital to shift dramatically. This would be a massive coup for Los Blancos and a devastating blow to City's midfield.

The Shopping List and Exit Strategy

Beyond Rodri, Klopp's wishlist includes Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck, PSG's Vitinha, and Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz. That's some serious quality he's asking for.

But it's not just about who comes in. Four players could be heading out the door: Fran Garcia, Dani Ceballos, Franco Mastantuono, and David Alaba. That's a significant squad overhaul for any manager to demand before even taking the job.

Of course, there's a big 'but' here. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Klopp is 'fully committed' to his current role as Red Bull's Head of Global Soccer. There have been no direct talks between Klopp and Real Madrid's board, according to Romano.

Real Madrid's Current Struggles

Why all this speculation? Real Madrid are going through a rough patch under temporary manager Alvaro Arbeloa. Despite beating Benfica to reach the Champions League Round of 16, they lost 1-0 at home to Getafe over the weekend.

That defeat keeps them four points behind Barcelona in La Liga with just 12 games remaining. For bettors, Real's inconsistent form makes them a tricky proposition right now, especially with those crucial Manchester City Champions League fixtures coming up in mid-March.

Los Blancos face Celta Vigo next Friday before hosting City on March 11th. They'll need to find their form quickly, especially after losing 2-1 to City in the league phase back in December. Whether Klopp is in the dugout or not, Real Madrid have some serious questions to answer.
