Alex Morgan Is Expecting Again — Life After Football Moving Fast.

Alex Morgan retired from professional soccer in September 2024, cited her second pregnancy, and said she wanted more time with her family after three decades in the sport. Seven months later, she's announced a third child on the way.

The news came through social media in the days leading up to Mother's Day — Morgan and her husband, former MLS midfielder Servando Carrasco, are expanding their family again. Their youngest, Enzo Michael Carrasco, was only born at the end of March 2025. Charlie Elena, their eldest daughter, turns five in May.

A career that actually earned the legacy label

Morgan didn't just play women's soccer — she was one of the main reasons American audiences started paying attention to it. Two World Cup titles (2015, 2019), an Olympic gold at London 2012, and a Women's Champions League with Lyon in 2017. That's not a résumé that needs inflating.

She walked away at 35, which felt right given the timing. San Diego Wave FC, retirement, growing family — it all made sense as a clean ending. The third pregnancy announcement just underlines how fully she's stepped into that next chapter.

Who is Servando Carrasco?

Carrasco spent his entire playing career in MLS after being drafted by Seattle Sounders in 2011. Houston Dynamo, Vancouver Whitecaps, LA Galaxy, Orlando City — he moved around plenty but never nailed down a starting role anywhere. He retired after the 2020 season.

Two former professional footballers, three kids under five, and both retired before 40. Whatever comes next for the Morgan-Carrasco household, it won't be quiet.
