His real name isn't Mark Goldbridge. It never was. Born Brent Di Cesare in Nottingham in 1979, he invented the alias at the request of his employers — because at the time, he was a police officer investigating financial fraud.
"If you search the name Goldbridge I don't think there's anyone in the world with that name," he's said. That's the point. A fictional identity built for YouTube ended up becoming one of the most recognisable faces in Manchester United's online ecosystem.
From Soccer Box TV to Disney+
Goldbridge launched The United Stand in 2014 — originally under the name Soccer Box TV — and built it into something that functions like an unofficial United broadcast channel. Watchalongs, post-match reactions, rants that went viral before going viral was a career strategy. Some described it as an "amateur online version of Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday." That comparison undersells the loyalty he built.
The career trajectory since has been sharp. A stint at talkSPORT in 2022. Appearances in the Sidemen charity match alongside the likes of KSI. In 2025, his 'That's Football' channel picked up Bundesliga broadcasting rights. A year later, Gary Neville's Overlap outfit purchased his channels entirely.
Now Disney+ — which acquired Neville's brand — is launching a new show called Stick to United, presented by Goldbridge and Wayne Rooney. It sits alongside the existing Stick to Football format. Whether it lands depends entirely on whether Rooney has anything interesting to say and whether Goldbridge's natural chaos translates from a bedroom setup to a proper production.

- Real name: Brent Di Cesare, born 1979, Nottingham
- Former career: police officer, financial fraud investigations

Seven million pounds from reacting to Manchester United matches in front of a camera. The club's recent years have been grim viewing — but apparently, misery has a market.
